The 36th annual Bonnechere Cup held in Eganville Ontario has come to close. The Race is a weekend event, with final races being held on Sunday. Sunday’s race saw some great racing action and some racers wiping out. Luckily all the racers walked away from their crashes. One great race saw the lead sled loose his front left ski, he continued as long has he could but the driver of the Skidoo in 2nd position took the win. The pro final saw Jacques Villeneuve go from 2nd place to first, not long after that he ran into trouble and dropped off from the race. The driver he overtook went back into first. If you’ve never been to the Canadian Vintage Championships/Bonnechere cup, you should plan to attend the next year’s race. At the race, you will see vintage single cylinder sleds and pro sleds race around the Benson Speed Oval which is an ice track. You will also see Stock and modified Quads race the big oval.
