Just Wait 5 Min

Posted on June 28, 2017 at 8:35 PM
Don't like the weather, just wait 5 minutes seems to holding true lately. The weather has been all over the map lately as evident this afternoon with a quick heavy down pour followed by a double rainbow. This unsettled weather has not been good for race tracks and race fans. It may put a damper on outside festivities for Canada Day. But we adapt and work around that to continue celebrating.

Closing Day @ Can Am

Posted on September 12, 2016 at 7:45 PM

This past Saturday saw the closing day of the dirt track race season @ Can Am Speedway. A quick check of the radar and weather before leaving showed it was looking pretty good.

Once I hit the 401 the Sun fadded away and the clouds appeared. As I crossed the last bridge to cross the St. Laurence river I noticed Sund and clearing to the South/West. I arrived at the track to the clouds and wind.

As I made my way towards the...

Season Wraping Up

Posted on March 18, 2015 at 5:15 PM

Well the Snowmobile Season is winding down. As I type this, the only areas to go trail riding in Ontario, Canada are North West of Ottawa. For some with acreage on their hands, there is still some off trail riding to be had. The trail riding season was a little delayed this winter, however the conditions were perfect, very little freezing rain and no major thaws until March.

A sure sign of Spring’s arrival is the Snowmobile Manufactures Sneak ...

Waiting for Snow.

Posted on January 13, 2015 at 7:40 PM

At this point in January, those who enjoy snowmobiling are all set and ready to go. Those who ride trails are doing the snow dance. More snow is needed before trails can be groomed and then opened.

This past weekend I had the chance to take in the old snowmbile show in Eganville Ontario. I was quite pleased to see a large number of sleds in the show. The variety and quaility to sleds is always amazing. Taking in this show shoul...

Old Sled Run

Posted on March 12, 2014 at 4:45 PM

On March 4th, 2014 I had the chance to take in the 8th annual Constance Bay Old Sled Run. This event had been on my list of events to attend for a few years. Things finally aligned and I was able to attend. I had planned on riding my 1973 Elan, however it was running to hot. I had just gotten my Touring sled back from the repair shop and decided I would take it. A short ride February 28, established the machine was good to go. However on this ride I met the groomer and the trai...
